LABEL REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CRAFTSMAN CIRCULAR SAW

If you have a model 172.108550, 172.108560, 172.108650, or 172.108660 circular saw, stop using the circular

saw immediately and inform everyone else who may intend to use the circular saw of the potential safety

hazard.  Do not use the circular saw until the label on the upper blade guard has been removed as instructed.

In order to remove the label from the upper blade guard, please carefully read and follow the following

instructions:

1. Make sure that your circular saw is unplugged and remains unplugged throughout the removal process.

2. Using your finger or thumb nail, a credit card, or a plastic putty knife, as shown in the first image, carefully put the tip under the pointed corner of the Craftsman label and slowly push forward away from your body.

3. Using your fingers, lift up on the corner of the Craftsman label.

4. Pull off the label from the blade guard.

5. Discard the label.

6. If you have any glue residue remaining on the blade guard after you have removed and discarded the label, rub it with your fingers until it is completely removed.  The residue should rub off.  Do not use any chemicals or cleaning solutions, as this will damage the finish of the blade guard.

7. If you wish to obtain a new Craftsman label for your circular saw, at no cost to you, please call Sears toll-free at 1-800-659-7026 Monday through Saturday between 7:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M. Central Time to arrange to have a label sent to you.

If you are uncomfortable removing the label yourself or if you would like assistance, please bring the saw to your nearest Sears store.  A Sears associate will remove the label at no cost to you.
