Hardware Tip

Never assume that washing rags that have been soaked with a flammable material will make them fire safe. Oil-based products and some chemicals can remain in the fabric and still produce spontaneous combustion.

Gardening Tip

Poor drainage is a large problem for plant roots. Air is excluded and plants can drown in excessive moisture. Check the drainage before planting. If a problem exists, select only those plants that can survive with "wet feet."
