Hardware Tip

Remove felt pen marks from alcohol-resistant surfaces, such as glazed ceramic tiles, glass, etc., by using 99-percent isopropyl alcohol, available from many drug stores or Goof-Off (manufactured by Atlanta Sundries) available in paint departments. As with any cleaning product, always test clean a small spot in an inconspicuous location first.

Gardening Tip

Try growing lettuce in the summertime by planting the right variety, such as Slobolt, Buttercrunch, and Summer Bibb. These varieties are developed to resist bolting (going to seed) in the warm months. You'll enjoy fresh salads all summer long.
